BART Transportation, located in Jackson, Missouri, was formed in June 1987, with one van, to provide van shuttle service between points in Southeast Missouri and the St. Louis airport.

In November 1988, service was added from Carbondale, Murphysboro and Marion, Illinois areas to the St. Louis airport.  Service was expanded in February 1990 to include West Frankfort, Benton, and Mt. Vernon. In November 1992 BART Transportation began service between Springfield-Decatur, Illinois areas to St. Louis.

Service is by reservation and is provided in 6-passenger conversion vans, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week (except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day).

Our office staff in Jackson, Missouri handles all the management, administrative duties, reservations and dispatching.

BART Transportation presently has a total fleet of 18 vans.  Six are in the Jackson-Cape Girardeau area, eight are located in the Carbondale area, and four in Springfield, Illinois.  Seven of these are owned by individuals who operate as Owner-Operators. 

We attribute much of our success and growth to the dedication of our staff, drivers and owner operators.  Their efficiency has resulted in our dependable reputation and we fully expect this to continue.
